CEBU CITY, Philippines — As part of the annual Mandaue Business Month (MBM) celebration this August, the Mandaue Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (MCCI) is set to host a large-scale job fair aimed at linking job seekers to employment opportunities across Cebu. The event, titled “Trabaho ta Bai!”, will be held on August 24, 2025 (Saturday), from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM at Robinsons Galleria Cebu, in partnership with the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Mandaue and the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).
The job fair is expected to feature openings in key sectors such as business process outsourcing (BPO), manufacturing, retail, hospitality, and logistics. It aims to provide job seekers with immediate access to companies ready to hire, many of which will conduct on-site interviews and initial screenings during the event.
Strengthening Workforce Connections Across Cebu
MCCI’s “Trabaho ta Bai!” job fair underscores the Chamber’s continued efforts to foster economic resilience by supporting both employers and job seekers throughout the province. As hiring rebounds across industries, the event offers a timely and strategic venue for businesses to reconnect with Cebu’s evolving labor force.
For job seekers, the fair presents a valuable opportunity to explore multiple career options under one roof—whether for fresh graduates, displaced workers, or professionals seeking new directions. The format encourages face-to-face engagement with recruiters, allowing applicants to showcase their skills and learn more about workplace culture and expectations.
A Multi-Sector Collaboration
The initiative reflects a growing convergence between local government, private industry, and digital platforms in addressing unemployment and workforce alignment. PESO Mandaue and DOLE’s involvement ensures compliance with labor standards while expanding outreach to underserved sectors of the community.
Cebu’s job website, Mynimo.com has signed on as a supporting partner for the job fair, continuing its mission to bring localized employment opportunities to a wider audience. Through this collaboration, Mynimo will help amplify event visibility and connect participating companies with qualified applicants from its user network. With Mynimo’s support, the fair will be promoted to tens of thousands of job seekers through targeted online campaigns, helping to extend the reach and impact of this one-day hiring event.
