Named for a species of tree where a holy relic of Saint Sebastian was found, the first-class city of Lipa is also known as the “City of All Seasons.” This is a moniker it deserves for its high concentration of natural resources, religious significance, and cultural capital. The bounty of both freshwater and seawater can be found in the nearby beaches of Laiya, Tali, Anilao, and Cagbalete, and in the lakesides of Balete, Malvar, and San Pablo in Laguna. It is the home of cultural heritage sites like the Metropolitan Cathedral of San Sebastian and the Museo de Lipa; it is also the birthplace of lomi, the iconic Filipino noodle dish. By virtue of the Southern Tagalog Arterial Road (STAR Tollway) and the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX), Lipa City in Batangas is easily accessible to Metro Manila and its neighboring Southern provinces. In earlier decades, many would take the long commute or move out of the city to find work in modern industries. However, after steady commercial growth and the establishment of infrastructure such as the LIMA Industrial Park, Lipa City gained an edge to its local economy and kept homegrown talent within its labor pool. In addition, labor models such as freelancing and business process outsourcing (BPO) make it quite easy for Batangueños to increase their income potential and gain experience with foreign clients, all without needing to leave their home communities. Jobseeker’s portal Mynimo makes it even easier for residents of Lipa to find work in different industries. If you check out Mynimo’s search engine, you can find job listings that are categorized via home region, city, or specialization. Listings can range from work in tourism, hospitality, food and beverage, and retail to IT, BPO work, finance, warehousing, office administration, and many more. Simply click on a listing based in Lipa City and respond by sending your resume and a quick cover letter with Mynimo’s Quick Apply feature. Find a new career on Mynimo and make your mark on the City of All Seasons!
