PURCHASING OFFICER

 

JOB SUMMARY

 

We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Officer who excels in procurement processes, Min-Max inventory management, supplier accreditation, and other SCM functions.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain competitive prices and favorable terms.

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with organizational goals and budgets.

  • Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand to ensure adequate stock levels without overstocking, applying SCM Procedures like Min-Max, etc.

  • Assess potential suppliers based on quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.

  • Maintain comprehensive procurement records, including contracts, purchase orders, and supplier agreements.

  • Generate regular reports on procurement activities, inventory levels, and supplier performance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

  • Proven experience as a Purchasing Officer or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of procurement processes and inventory management techniques.

  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to forge effective partnerships with suppliers.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
