Accounting Officer (URGENT)
 
ECC Japan (Ecc Co., Ltd) was founded in 1962. It is the largest private institution for English teaching in Japan. ECC Philippines is a subsidiary of ECC Japan in the Philippines. We are a lifelong educational institute and have over 10,000 franchise schools and 300,000 students. ECC has about 180 directory-owned schools.
 
We offer a wide range of educational services and programs in our own schools, franchise schools, and affiliated schools worldwide. At present, we have about 400,000 students who use our learning materials every day.
 
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/ Finance or equivalent
With at least one (1) year of experience in the related field
Advanced knowledge in MS Excel (VLOOK UP, INDEX MATCH, CONDITIONAL FORMATTING, etc.)
Knowledgeable in using Outlook
Knows how to compute salary and last pay
Knowledge in the calculation and preparation of BIR, SSS, PHIC, and HDMF contributions
Knowledgeable in general accounting, bookkeeping, and auditing
Keen to details and has excellent problem-solving skills
Ability to multi-task and can work with less supervision
Good verbal and written communication skills in English
Honest and has a pleasing personality
Job Responsibilities:
Maintains payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data
Performs bi-monthly payroll processing accurately
Prepares employees' last pay computations
Prepares reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, non-taxable wages, etc.
Handles government payables (BIR, SSS, PHIC, and HDMF) in conformity with the government agency
Makes a summary of the monthly bank and petty cash transactions to be submitted to the company's consultant for the monthly FS preparation
Monitors and records the company's cash flows
Records petty cash transactions and does cash counts
Communicates with the company's consultant for the company's interest
Processes payments to suppliers and contractors timely
Files and stores confidential documents by keeping financial records, bank deposits, books, and cashbook
Files billings and receipts of payments orderly
Conducts payroll orientation to newly hired employees requests their ATM's and visits the company's affiliated bank for monthly transactions
Correspond with the employees' inquiries in a professional manner
Other related tasks assigned by the management
