You will work with one other company nurse, under the supervision of the nursing manager who is available to assist with complex cases as needed. We also have a doctor in the office every Friday who oversees employees' health. We are looking for a part-time, or full-time, nurse who is organized, able to teach, and willing to learn! History working in Maternal Child Health or Labor & Delivery unit would be preferred, but not required."

COMPANY NURSE

Key Objectives:

Medical Response

• Using extensive medical training and knowledge of occupational medicine and safety, company nurses interpret and document a worker’s medical complaints using medical histories and diagnostic tests.

• While complying with laws and regulations, company nurses investigate and analyze injury trends, research possible occupational hazards, and collaborate with safety teams and managers.

• Additional job duties can include maintaining detailed medical records, maintaining clinic inventory, creating emergency workplace preparedness plans, and monitoring workplace hygiene and cleanliness.

• Receive and conduct phone calls regarding employee medical concerns.

• Undertake other patient management activities as instructed by HR

Employee Education and Support

• Facilitate Veritacore health and wellbeing and life skills educational programs for employees according to the educational methodology used by Veritacore

• Provide health-related counseling and employee support

  • Maternity and Child care Coaching

  • Health Coaching

• Manage basic health conditions among employees and provide personalized health education and health-related skills training under the supervision of Head of People Transformation

• Refer to Employee Support Session employee who manifest symptoms for mental health issues or personal crisis

• Develop and facilitate awareness drive for different relevant illnesses

Compliance

• She must further keep abreast with other certifications and training as required by DOLE and other health-related agencies.

• The company nurse is required to annually renew her license/certificate as First-Aider and Safety Officer

Reporting and Internal Referrals

• Provide feedback to senior management regarding medical issues & procedures concerning occupational safety - including recommendations for resolving common medical issues.

• Internal referral to ESS when health assessment requires

• Assess employees medical concerns and provide management with comprehensive feedback to assist in the decision making process (i.e Employee Cash Advance (medical related) etc.),

Medical referrals (i.e. availment of Private Health Insurance / Government Medical Facilities)

• Arrange APE and assist employees for LOA and other medical related activities

Adhoc

• Any other tasks per direct superior guidance

Attendance

• No record of tardiness

• Leave to be planned (unless emergency/sick; 7/14 days notice) to avoid work disruption

Personal conduct and behaviour

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing

• At least 2 years of prior experience in the field

• Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues.

• Experience in educating and coaching staff.

• Experience in following and maintaining workplace privacy.

• Ability to give presentations.

• Knowledge of relevant health and safety laws.
