COMPLIANCE BOOKKEEPER

Job Description:

Works together with the Compliance Officer in planning, development, implementation, and monitoring of effective external reporting compliance programs. Regularly updates the company’s books of accounts and helps ensure that all external reporting requirements and compliances are met. Should be equipped with enough knowledge in all government agencies required reports such as in BIR, SEC, LGU, etc.

Specific Duties:

Reportorial/Furnishing

In-charge in the safekeeping of the Authority to Print (ATP)
- Requisition
  - Receives request from audit department c/o the Credit & LTO Documents Custodian the photocopy of last series of accountable forms like Sales Invoice, Delivery Receipt, Official Receipt, Collection Receipt and Provisional Receipt with the number of booklets request.
  - Attaches a photocopy of previous ATP requested and makes letter to BIR.
  - Transmits to audit department c/o Audit Clerk for Purchase Order and submits for printing.
- Receiving and Registration
  - Receives the 1st and last booklets from printing press.
  - Transmits the said booklets to branches indicated together with the ATP in 3 copies for BIR, HO and branch copy for BIR registration.
  - Receives the 1st and last booklet sent back by branch for recording and monitoring, and for safekeeping by the Custodian.
Updates the Books of Accounts
- Monthly update
  - Sales journal book for motorcycle dealership
  - Sales journal book for spare parts dealership
  - Purchase journal book for motorcycle (NIVI)
  - Disbursement book in soft copy
Monitoring of loose-leaf permit of SI and DR of MC dealership and SP dealership for year-end bookbinding and for submission 15 days after the year ends
Makes the following monthly reports for Sto. Niño de Cebu Finance Corp.:
- Sales report
- DM/CM report
- Disbursement Book report (softcopy)
- Journal Book report
- Summary of withholding tax compensation per employee with OR
- Summary of SSS Contribution and SSS loan per employee with OR
- Summary of PHIC Contribution per employee with OR
- Summary of HDMF Contribution and HDMF loan per employee with OR
- Aging of Accounts Receivables per customers
- Summary of Allowance for Doubtful accounts
Payment of tax withheld from employee’s compensation (BIR Form 1601-C) and tax withheld from suppliers of goods and services (BIR Form 1601-E)
Encodes the list of sales and purchases to BIR Relief System
Monitors, records, and keeps copies of Check voucher and Official Receipt payment of business permits and taxes and licenses of all branches and home office.
Perform other tasks assigned, except for personal purposes.

Job Qualifications

College graduate in Business, Management Accounting, Accountancy or Accounting related.
With experience in Compliance or Certified Tax Technician is a plus.
Analytical with strong attention to detail.
Proficient in Microsoft Office or any accounting software.
Integrity, with an ability to handle confidential information.
Must be able to multitask and work well under pressure.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
