Job Overview

Responsible in supervising and carrying out the day to day repair and maintenance requirements of building, facilities and equipment as well as surrounding area of the hotel. Prepare a preventive maintenance program, and make an analysis / program on how to conserve energy. Organize the work order in means of disseminate accordingly, also conduct inventory on all engineering equipment/materials. Meets and exceeds internal/external customer’s expectation by providing the best service and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:

As aforementioned, the main responsibilities of shift engineers revolve around maintenance and reactive problem resolution, however, other aspects include:

Meet and exceeds internal/external customers expectation by providing the best service and teamwork.
- Monitor customer service levels and counsels employee with alternative methods of responsible customer request.
- Provide staff with the skills training to be able to provide value added service to customers.
Supervises the proper maintenance and repair of all equipment and plant
- Attends to any outstanding work orders that require immediate attention
- Constantly checks to ensure that task completed are of goof quality
- Checks fresh air, return air and fire smokes exhaust fan maintenance
- Cleans filter net of air conditioned regularly
Monitor services of repairs to all electrical, audio visual, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment.
- Ensure that motors, starters, switch gear, fittings, wirings, vacuum machines, and all electrical operated machines are serviced and fully conditional
- Conducts regular check on equipment to ensure that planned maintenance and servicing are properly carries out and on schedule.
- Ensure recording of daily log sheet data on all equipment
- Checks and maintain sounds acoustic set in excellent.
Maintain and repair all hotel electrical equipment and power system in accordance with standard of Philippine Electrical Code (PEC)
- Monitor all power equipment and panel board of each hotel floor and make sure that this is accordance to the standard of Philippine Electrical Code (PEC)
- Maintains the system of electrical equipment (including electrical motors) and make sure that the illumination of the hotel is in accordance of the standard illumination.
Execute the work order control system.
- Distribute work orders to appropriate electrical technicians
- Follow ups and check reason of outstanding work orders
- Checks the workload and efficiency of various section
- Quality checks completed work orders randomly
Assist in carrying out the preventive maintenance scheme
- Ensure that the preventive maintenance scheme/schedule is followed accordingly.
- Monitors the work quality
Monitor and assist the energy conservation program

MINIMUM JOBHOLDER REQUIREMENTS

Minimum acceptable qualifications for this job.

Educational / Professional Qualifications and Experience

A Bachelor’s degree in the engineering field is desirable, i.e. mechanical, or even associated sciences
Must know how to interpret the plan
Multiskilled and with experience and knowledge in electrical and mechanical
Strong time management and communication skills
Keeping detailed records of work and manage contractors
Has time management skills and willing to work extended hours
