SALES MANAGER

Job Summary

As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong customer relationships, both within a company as well as with outside clients. You will seek out new business opportunities, advise clients on product/service solutions that meet their needs, and resolve any issues or complaints.

Key Responsibilities/Duties

Search for new clients who could benefit from the company' services.
Travel to visit potential clients
Establish new, and maintaining existing, relationships with client
Manage and interpret client requirements
Calculate client quotations
Negotiate tender and contract terms
Negotiate and close sales within agreeable terms and conditions
Offer after-sales support services
Administer client accounts
Analyze costs and sales
Meet regular sales targets
Record and maintain client contact data
Coordinate sales projects
Support marketing by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events
Prepare technical presentations and demonstrate how our service will meet client needs
Provide pre-sales technical assistance and service education
Represent the company with a comprehensive understanding of our offerings
Generate leads, build and nurture client relationships
Create and execute strategic sales plan that expands customer base and extends the reach
Build and promote a long-lasting client relationship by partnering with them and understanding their needs
Track, analyze, and communicate key quantitative metrics and business trends as they relate to partner relationships
Assist recruit salespeople, set objectives, train and coach, and monitor performance ensuring assigned tasks and responsibilities are fulfilled
Identify knowledge gaps within the team and develop a plan to fulfill them
Oversee the sales team to ensure company quotas and standards are met by holding daily check-ins with the team to set objectives for the day and monitor progress regularly
Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
Present sales, revenue, and expense reports and realistic forecasts to the management team

Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in Marketing or Business Administration
5+ years experience in Sales Management within a corporate setting
Sales experience in Brokerage and Logistics is a plus
Proven track record of success of the sales cycle from planning to closing
Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence credibility and effectively at all levels of the organization
Proven ability to drive the sales process from planning to closing
Ability to travel when necessary
