Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating with the assigned Kitchen, its sub-sections and satellites.

  • Ensures kitchen is adequately staffed in all areas.

  • Assign duties to staff such as food preparation tasks or assigned line position cooking.

  • All related culinary activities and hotel events.

  • Select and develop recipes to ensure consistent quality standards.

  • Trains and demonstrates kitchen staff of culinary techniques and presentation of new dishes.

  • Ensure proper equipment operations, safety and sanitation in the kitchen.

  • Monitor food and labor costs.

  • Keep up with industry trends and create new recipes.


  • Associate Degree in Culinary Arts required (Bachelor's preferred), Experience in Hotel Set-up

  • 2+ years' experience as a Chef in a full-service restaurant

  • Excellent communication and organization skills

  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Dedicated to food quality and control

  • Strong knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation standards

  • Non-Smoking person
