Job Summary:

 

The role is mainly responsible for assisting in conversion plan to migrate from an on-prem solution using SQL Server to a cloud solution using AWS and Snowflake

 

Responsibilities:

  • Own and operate cloud infrastructure and servers in AWS.

  • Own capacity planning and ensure scalable systems.

  • Implement and maintain tools and processes to support the CI/CD pipelines.

  • Display technical leadership and oversight of deployment planning, quality assurance gates, cloud operations, and scalability and sustainability of deployed solutions.

  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of developers, product owners, and subject matter experts.

  • Produce and maintain documentation to manage and operate information systems that support CI/CD pipelines.

  • Ensure that cloud infrastructure and server configuration meet the HIPAA Security Rule requirements.

  • Monitor cloud information systems operation and proactively address problems before they impact customers.

  • Own, maintain, and test backup systems and inventory.

  • Own, maintain and test disaster recovery plans for each system.

  • Ensure that cloud information systems and resources have appropriate Data Classification labels.

  • Ensure that the availability of information systems meets customer’s Service Level Agreements.

Requirements:

  • Proven at least 3-5+ years of IT DevOps experience

  • Knowledge of Snowflake

  • Knowledge of scripting languages (ex. bash, python)

  • Experience working with infrastructure as code tool Terraform

  • Experience working with AWS DevOps managed services (ex. CodeBuild, CodePipeline, CodeDeploy)

  • Experience working directly with multiple AWS accounts under a single Organization

  • Expert knowledge of multi-AWS account CI/CD strategies

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar

  • Excellent judgment, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills

  • Full understanding of agile software development lifecycle best practices 

  • Possess an expert technical understanding of the intersection of development and operations (DevOps), monitoring and management tools, and deployment processes and tools 

  • Do well at understanding business needs and creating solutions to meet those needs

  • Proven professional experience with regulatory compliance and requirements including HIPAA

  • Must have Fiber Optic internet with at least 50 Mbps bandwidth

  • Must have a backup desktop or laptop with the latest OS

  • Must be able to work from 11PM-8AM
