THE OPPORTUNITY: EMR CHARTING SPECIALIST

The primary function of the EMR Charting Specialist is to convert the clinician's written patient assessment into an electronic medical record by accurately encoding the patient assessment after the information has been verified and coincided with the patient's referral document and other supporting medical documentation.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Efficiently encodes clinicians' patient assessment into the plotted daily visit notes in the EMR.  These assessment forms include comprehensive assessments such as the different types of OASIS, therapy evaluations, and the required skilled discipline daily visit notes.

• Organizes, compiles, sorts out and process the clinical data to ensure a cohesive patient assessment record

• Coordinates with clinicians for verification or clarification of information that are illegible or does not match the referral notes

• Ensures accuracy of the data entry by reconciling the clinical assessment with the MD referral notes and other supporting medical documentation

• Adheres to the agency data encoding protocols

WHAT IT TAKES

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or Physical Therapy

• At least 1-year clinical experience, fresh graduates/under-licensed are welcome to apply!

• Experience in a Healthcare BPO is A PLUS, but not required

• Highly trainable and eager to learn

• Willing to work onsite (One Providence Building, Corrales Ext, CDO)
