BEHAVIORAL HEALTH REVIEWER

 

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  •  Identify appropriate assignment of CPT and ICD-9 Codes for Physician and facility services provided in a behavioral health setting

  •  Understanding of ICD-9 Coding in relation to CPC

  • Review and maintain a record of claims, reviewed basis standard CMS guideline

  • Maintain up-to-date Coding knowledge by reviewing materials disseminated/recommended by CMS

  • Adhere to and maintains required levels of performance in both Coding accuracy and productivity

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum requirement: Graduate of Bachelor’s or Masters in Psychology, Education, Special Education or any therapy related degree are preferred

  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT®) or Applied Behavior Analysis Technician (ABAT®) in good standing is a BIG advantage

  • Flexible with shifts

  • Strong critical thinking, oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to work independently

  • Intermediate skill level with MS Office
