Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer

Is currently looking for:

SR. MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER

JOB SUMMARY:

Will lead mechanical designs and any task related to it.

A. ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Design all the mechanical parts of the product 

2. Ensure all Do’s and Don’ts related to mechanicals are observed and applied

3. Ensure all technical aspects in relation to mechanical are addressed and implemented

4. Ensure all mechanical drawings (2D and 3D), models and the likes are implemented in accordance to the standard or good practice and per customer requirements

5. Review designs from junior mechanical designers

6. Collaborate to mechanical designers, show leadership, share technical knowledge and review their outputs

7. Lead meetings related to mechanical aspect of the products

8. Reports to the division manager the progress of his/her tasks

9. Keep record of his/her design outputs in accordance to the company policy

10. Ensure on-time delivery of task

B. JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Educational Background:

• Graduate of engineering course like ME, EE or ECE

Experience:

• Experience in doing mechanical designs for both metals and plastics using solid works for not less than 5 years

Knowledge, Skills and Attitude:

1. Possess all technical knowledge related to mechanical design

2. Knowledgeable with mechanical standards and good practices

3. Have expertise in 2D and 3D drawing using solid works

4. Able to create an accurate model and can perform simulations

5. Have adept knowledge in materials and cosmetics

6. Able to come up a good decision and judgement calls

7. Have knowledge to product design from concept to production

8. Hardworking, smart, open-minded, flexible and can work under pressure without supervision
