Japanese Translator
A Japanese startup based in Cagayan de Oro and Manila is looking for a Language Specialist position. Our main business is e-commerce, and we work with multiple suppliers from Japan. As our business is expanding rapidly, we are looking for a bilingual candidate to join our growing team! This would be a perfect opportunity for those who want to contribute to the development phase of a company.
Qualifications:
JLPT N2 or higher
Fluent Bisaya preferred
Must be able to communicate effectively, oral and written, in both Japanese and English languages
Experience as an interpreter and/or translator is an advantage
Responsibilities:
Translation from Japanese to English (and vice versa)
Coordinate with Japan counterpart, get training/acquire knowledge and echo to offshore team
Perform the translation of documents from Japanese to English, and vice-versa as needed in the projects
Act as a bridge between Japanese and other teams as required
Assist with English and Japanese communications
Attend meetings, take meeting minutes and conduct interpretations when necessary
Create Japanese and/or English reports or documents as needed in the projects
Provide a full coordination of any technical or non-technical project activities and their processes
Perform other related tasks as assigned by the immediate Supervisor
Working Schedule: Monday - Friday 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM (Lunch break 2-3 PM)
