About the Client:

Medical Edge Australia was established in December 2009, in Tasmania by Brodie White, a registered paramedic, in response to perceived gaps in patient care at events. Brodie is the sole director and shareowner of the company and is passionate about providing advanced patient care when & where it counts as well as improving the flow of information to clients, patients, and state ambulance services.

The company has since grown from its foundation in North-West Tasmania to employ over 500 staff Australia-wide, providing first aid and medical services to over 1000 events annually throughout Tasmania, Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland, Western Australia & South Australia.

Job Summary:

Medical Edge is one of Australia's fastest-growing healthcare providers with operational streams reaching high-risk events, Non-Emergency Patient Transport (NEPT), industrial medicine, pandemic response, first aid training, and much more. As a developer for Medical Edge, you will be expected to work autonomously continuing the development of existing systems and taking on new projects as business needs develop. You will need to be able to work with internal Medical Edge staff taking on direction and feedback to ensure the software platform meets the needs of the business.

We are looking for a Full Stack Developer to produce scalable software solutions to meet the needs of our growing business. You will be responsible for the full software development and continuation of existing projects.

Responsibilities:

• Work independently and effectively manage time to deliver project outcomes

• Design client-side and server-side architecture

• Build the front-end of applications through appealing visual design

• Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications

• Write effective APIs

• Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency

• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software

• Create security and data protection settings

• Build features and applications with a mobile responsive design

• Write technical documentation

• Take on feedback from team members to improve software platforms to meet the needs of the business.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role

• Well-versed in the coding of PHP, SQL, HTML, CSS, and Javascript.

• A good understanding of Linux CLI, and API Integration for the integration with other third-party platforms as the project evolves and develops.

• It is essential to be open-minded and be able to think dynamically in order to accomplish these projects

• Experience developing desktop and mobile applications

• Familiarity with API Integration with third-party services

• Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g. HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery)

• Knowledge of multiple back-end languages (e.g. C#, Java, Python) and JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, Node.js)

• Familiarity with databases (e.g. MySQL, MongoDB), web servers (e.g. Apache, CPanel), and UI/UX design

• Familiarity with VPS, Linux CLI, and AWS Services.

• Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or relevant field

• Good English communication, both written and verbal

• Must have Fiber Optic internet with at least 25 Mbps bandwidth

• Must have a backup desktop or laptop with the latest OS
