Job Description

  • Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's/College Degree in Business Studies/Administration/Management or equivalent.

  • At least 4 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.

  • Preferably 1-4 Yrs Experienced Employee specialized in Banking/Financial Services or equivalent.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

  • Good verbal and written communication/interpersonal skills

  • Can work with less supervision

  • Honest and trustworthy

Key Responsibilities

  • Check vouchers, tickets and consumer loan availments submitted by the loan processor.

  • Prepare the daily list of posted transactions and trial balance.

  • Prepare the monthly trial balance.

  • Prepare the monthly financial statements.

  • Prepare the monthly bank reconciliation statement and other reports.

  • Conduct monthly reconciliation of head office/branch accounts

  • Monthly check the subsidiary ledgers for receivables and payables.

  • Coordinates with other bookkeepers, accounting clerks and the cashier for the efficient performance of bookkeeping functions.

  • Supervise the different accounting clerks to ensure the accuracy and completeness of entries for the financial statements.

  • Submit quarterly reports, particularly SEC reports to Accounting/Branch Head for review.

  • Supervise the accounting department in the absence of Group Head.

Basic Purpose:

 

To ensure smooth flow of the accounting function by preparing accounting entries and financial statements and by checking the company’s subsidiary ledgers.
