SENIOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR

 

Qualification:

  • Must be licensed Civil Engineer

  • At least 8 years of relevant experience as a Quantity Surveyor / Estimator, with at least 3 years working as Senior Quantity Surveyor in Construction Industry.

  • With good background on Contracts.

  • Well verse in AutoCAD & MS Office.

  • Good knowledge of materials, methods and tools involved in the construction of buildings. 

  • Good analytical and communication skills.

  • Independent, organized with positive work attitude, strong sense of responsibility.

Job Description:

  • Carry out pre-tender activities involved in the tendering process such as sourcing of quotations, liaising with suppliers and subcontractors, quantity take-off and preparation of Bill Quantities for pricing etc.

  • Attend tender briefing/site show round/tender interview and follow up with Post tender Clarification and Questionnaires when required.

  • Carry out the detailed breakdown pricing, progress billing and variations.

  • Understanding of Tenders with respect to scope of work, pricing schedule and non-material requirements.

  • Respond to Client's Queries for submitted tender.

  • Attend onsite meetings and liaise with clients, architects and associate consultants in the administration of projects

  • Liaise with various related parties including customer, subcontractor on site to ensure project requirement are met

  • Coordination with government agencies, prepare documentations for submission including method statements, risk assessments, safe work procedure, etc.

  • Study and identify discrepancies in tender/contract documents and raise queries for clarifications.

  • Compile all documents required for submission. Reviews and interprets engineering documentation such as drawings/specifications/scope of works to fully understand the project requirements for detailed and accurate estimating.

  • Coordinating various departments for preparation of project construction plans & schedules, staff, manpower & equipment deployments, site organization charts, and method statements and other requirements.
