MECHANICAL ENGINEER

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be a Licensed Mechanical Engineer

  • Must have 2-4 years of experience in Equipment Operations

  • Must be knowledgeable of Heavy Equipment and Automotive

  • Must be people-oriented, have excellent communication skills and evaluation skills

  • Must be computer literate

  • Must be willing to travel to project sites

  • Must be willing to be assigned in Davao del Norte

  • Can start immediately

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure availability of operational equipment required on project sites

  • Monitor and report the utilization and status of all equipment on project sites

  • Provide relevant information and instructions about safety and operational concerns to EMD personnel by performing toolbox meetings on a daily basis

  • Oversee safety by ensuring the conduct of daily inspection on the equipment and workplace to identify hazards and unsafe conditions

  • Oversee the monitoring of equipment by communicating with Project Engineers and supervisors to get timely updates as to the equipment utilization and status

  • Optimize the utilization of the available equipment by continuously communicating with the project engineers to facilitate the scheduling and dispatching of the needed equipment for the project

  • Ensure complete provision of required equipment for the project by reporting equipment that needs repair and request for its replacement from Equipment Maintenance Engineer

  • Analyze equipment efficiency by gathering necessary data such as but not limited to fuel consumption, equipment utilizations and repairs, and give suggestions and/or recommendations to the EMD Manager

  • Monitor the proper usage of EMD assets by giving proper information on proper handling of the equipment

  • Oversee the equipment billing by ensuring timely collection of equipment utilization report

  • Ensure availability of manpower by reporting and requesting for replacement and/or additional manpower from the HR department

  • Remind and follow-up, if necessary, the Equipment Maintenance Engineer on the equipment preventive maintenance schedule by monitoring the Service Maintenance and Repair (SMR) of the Equipment

  • Coordinate with the Accounting Department for the processing of supplier’s payment for purchased items and job-outs

  • Prepare incident reports and disclose to concerned department heads for their actions by investigating, analyzing and making recommendations about the incident

  • Contribute to the continual improvement of the company and its business performance by doing other related task that may be assigned from time to time
