Job Description

The job comes with a lot of responsibility, setting targets and working with a number of Store Managers across the allocated area, with the aim to improve sales and profitability. The person will be accountable for the stores that he/she is Area Managing. This can be a very stressful job role at times, and the person really needs to work hard but it is also rewarding.

The primary job function of an Area Manager is to manage and assume overall responsibility for the success of the stores by directing all operational aspects of each store deriving sales whilst minimizing cost. It is an integral part of the Area Manager’s main responsibility as well to consolidate all sales reports on all branches and ensure all data are accurate before reporting it to the Board of Directors on the monthly scheduled meeting. The person will be solely accountable for any inaccuracy or errors that may arise during the monthly reporting.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Setting objectives and sales targets for each store.

  • Evaluate staff performance.

  • Lead a team of Store Managers.

  • Report to General Manager/CEO/COO and Executive Body.

  • Provide or work closely with the training and development department.

  • Work towards maximizing sales and profitability across the region.

  • Deal with problems within the assigned area.

  • Reviewing and ensuring the accuracy of reports for all branches.

OTHER JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • He is responsible for managing all services offered.

  • He is responsible for maintaining the stock of goods and equipment required in the restaurant's building.

  • He is responsible for managing team members to sort out issues/problems with the trick of business improvement.

  • He is responsible to implement different business improvement policies and strategies to give business growth.

  • He is responsible to work as a strong link between the Head Office and branches of the restaurant.

  • He is responsible for promoting restaurants by following different promotion techniques like marketing and advertising.

  • He is responsible for reporting about the status of business development to the Board or Head Office.

  • He is responsible to work closely with the Recruitment Department for hiring highly qualified professional managers.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate of Any Business related course

  • Must have experience at least 2 years as an Area Manager (preferably from the food industry)

  • Highly motivated and with a good attitude
