ACCOUNTING OFFICER

 

JOB SUMMARY

  • Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department by analyzing accounting data and monitoring processes. Produce financial reports and statements an implement risk controls.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration major in Management Accounting, Financial Management, Commerce or any business-related courses

  • At least 6 years or more of accounting related experience required.

  • Must be knowledgeable in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Bank Reconciliation and General Accounting Activities

  • Great interpersonal and English communication skills: Verbal and Written

  • Excellent management and supervisory skills

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Has the ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.

  • Knowledgeable in accounting and tax preparation processes.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

  • Experience in working with accounting software and databases.

  • Superior data management and data analysis skills

  • Ability to work with deadlines and competing priorities.

  • Able to maintain confidentiality, credibility and professionalism

  • Maintains the highest level of confidentiality and integrity

  • Shows maturity and has compassion for people

  • Meticulous attention to detail.

  • Can set priorities and has initiative 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Keep track of cash activities to be able to position cash flow for efficient forecasting. This should form part of treasury and budgeting tasks.

  2. Oversee accounts payable and receivable to be able to regulate debt activity and check runs and find ways to boost collections correspondingly.

  3. Be assured of allocations of payroll, rent, utilities and other fixed expenses.

  4. Be on top in the generation of financial reports and statements and eventually perform revenue and expenditure variance analysis, accounts reconciliations and fixed and capital assets monitoring.

  5. Schedule annual meeting or presentation with the board regarding company’s financial position.

  6. Be up to date of the accounting calendar year activities for renewals and other government statutory processes and other partners’ contracts or memorandum of agreements.

  7. Participate costing activities and standardization of packages and discounts.

  8. Coordinate with other departments regarding their budget allocations and accounting needs.

  9. May perform, mock audit if necessary.

  10. May perform other tasks required by the management.
