Job Title: Accounts Receivable Associate  

Department: Accounts Receivable

Reports To: Accounts Receivable Supervisor




The primary role of the accounts receivable clerk is responsible for the receipt and accounting of funds being paid to the organization. This role also serves as an auditor, ensuring that invoices are accurate and that proper accounting procedures are followed to account for the receipt of payment for goods and services completed by the organization.


Job duties may be added or taken away due to operational / business needs and requirements. 



  • Applies customer payments

  • Researches and solves payment discrepancies

  • Processes payments, invoices, account credits and debits

  • Prepares weekly manual deposits

  • Prepares weekly reports for accountants

  • Other duties and assignments as required



Education and Industry Knowledge

  • High school diploma

  • Associate degree in accounting preferred

  • Minimum 2 years previous accounting experience preferred

Technical Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office e.g. Outlook, Excel, Word

  • Intermediate computer skills required in Excel e.g. formulas, graphs

  • Working knowledge of financial software

  • Highly organized with the ability to multi-task and have a learning mindset

Work Schedule

  • Willing to work on US schedule/night shift and onsite in HM Tower in Cebu IT Park

  • Ensure work responsibilities are covered when absent

  • Set working hours of 9 hours per day with requisite meal and rest breaks

Work Environment

  • Usually moderate noise level

  • Climate controlled office environment

Physical Demands

  • Regular physical demands:  Walk; sit; use hands to handle or feel; use fingers for keyboarding; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear

  • Specific vision abilities:  close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, ability to adjust focus

Mathematical Skills

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals

Language Skills:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents, spreadsheets, emails and instructions 

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

  • Ability to speak clearly and effectively to both internal and external contacts
