(TAM) TECHNICAL ACCOUNT MANAGER

 

Description

 

The Technical Account Manager (TAM) is an internal technical sales and customer advocate role.  The TAM is in charge of managing 4IT's business relationship with customers and works every day to solve customer challenges and improve service delivery.  The TAM works as part of our 4IT Sales team (currently 6 staff members) along with the 4IT technical services team, the 4IT project team, and the customer to build and manage the customer's technology roadmap. This is a highly communicative position that requires building relationships and genuinely caring about our customers.  Work tasks will include identifying and creating technical solutions, generating quotations, and following our sales workflow to completion.  In addition, a TAM is responsible for managing and presenting an annual comprehensive technology review to each assigned customer account.   Reviews will include organizing a formal presentation that entails assembling system reports, generating budgetary quotations, and reviewing and updating the technology roadmap.  This is NOT a business development position, and there is no sales quota.

 

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of previous experience with CRM (customer relationship management) and/or sales consulting role

  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office 365, Azure, and Virtualization

  • Strong understanding of Networking, Firewalls, WAN, and Wireless

  • Self-motivated with an ability to work effectively without micro-management

  • A proven track record of building, enhancing and strengthening business client relationships

  • Strong communication skills and comfort level with phone and in-person client meetings

  • Strong organizational skills and a willingness to follow up and do what it takes to help customers succeed

  • Previous experience working for an MSP (managed service provider) is a plus.
