AUDIT ASSOCIATE

Job Summary:

Execution of financial audit plans, procedures and programs and assistance to the Corporate Audit Head in the establishment and assessment of audit plans, procedures and programs.

Job Responsibilities:

• Document understanding of the business

• Assist in the audit planning process

• Perform or update understanding of significant processes including walkthroughs

• Assist in identifying controls and designing test of controls

• Assist in designing substantive audit procedures

• Participate in the annual audit planning meeting

• Assist in updating risks of material misstatements related to the accounts and processes involved in the monthly audit plan

• Participate in the monthly mentoring and feedback sessions

• Assist in the preparation of audit reports

• Participate in discussions with stakeholders on audit findings and resolutions

• Execute the audit plan - perform assigned audit procedures and document work done in the audit work sheets

• Summarize findings and observations

• Provide updates on assigned tasks

• Follow-up auditee on pending audit requests

• Maintain independence and confidentiality, as well as practice professional skepticism

• Assist in the review of Certificate of Ownership of Valley of Peace clients

• Witness disposal of garbage, scrap materials, tires, and other assets, as requested

• Assist in the audit investigation of incidents, as requested by the management

• Perform other related tasks as may be required by the management and/or immediate head

Qualifications:

• Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or Finance

• Certified Public Accountant is a plus but not required

• Experience on related field is an advantage

• Must possess knowledge of accounting and auditing standards

• Well versed with Microsoft Office and accounting systems

• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing

• Keen attention to details

• Must possess strong analytical skills

• A team player and can work with minimal supervision

• Exhibit the principles of integrity, objectivity, confidentiality and competency

• An active learner

• Capable of conducting long working hours and have the stamina for extended hours of analytical and reportorial work
