Associate Content Manager

Location: Worldwide, remote, with working hours overlapping mid-shift from 12pm - 9pm PHT.

About You

Do you have 1-2 years of experience in media or news outlets? Are you excited to be a part of a dynamic company that’s growing fast and has an open, teamwork-focused culture? Read on.

You are hardworking, adaptable, detail-oriented, and have a passion for creating compelling newsletters. You do your best in an environment where you’re responsible for your own work (but you get the support you need). You also strive to be the most communicative person in the room and understand the importance of coordinating across global teams.

What you’ll do here

If you’ve read this far, we know that you want to know more. What will you do as the Associate Content Manager?

In your first 90 days you’ll:

• Take on full responsibility for creating specific newsletters

• Be able to prep and publish stories on your own, including photo searching, stylistic formatting, and web management

• Become a key member of Devex’s News Production Team, fully integrated into our team’s workflow and culture and handling communication and coordination within the team and with key Devex stakeholders

• Master team tools like Marketo, Slack and Devex’s proprietary content management system

By the time you finish your first year you’ll:

• Be producing Devex newsletters on a daily basis

• Be publishing Devex articles, including finding photos and formatting stories

• Have created graphics for Devex stories and newsletters

• Be able to update all relevant news pages on the website

• Be supporting the team in UTMs placement, tracking etc.

• Have suggested and implemented opportunities to improve content quality and reach

Required Qualifications

Here are the basic requirements we’re looking for in the role…

• Familiarity with on- and off-platform content creation and management

• Experience working on newsletters

• Experience working in a digital-first environment, ideally a media company

• Bachelor’s degree and 1-2 years or relevant experience

Nice-to-haves

Besides the basics, here’s what we’d love to see you have experience in…

• Marketo or similar newsletter creating system

• Knowledge of global development industry

• Graphic design experience, with Adobe Creative Suite or similar

• Analytics and SEO experience

• HTML/CSS knowledge
