CREDIT AND COLLECTION OFFICER

 

The CREDIT AND COLLECTION OFFICER is responsible for responsible for managing the collection of outstanding debts from clients and customers. The Collections Officer will contact clients and inform them of their debts, negotiate payment plans, and ensure payments are made as soon as possible. May also be required to institute legal actions when payments are not made.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Contacting customers and informing them of their overdue bills.

  2. Advising customers on their payment options and suggesting methods of payments.

  3. Negotiating suitable payment plans.

  4. Maintaining customer payment records.

  5. Writing final notice warnings to customers when payments are not being made.

  6. Responding to customer queries.

  7. Knowledgeable with regards to proper collection procedures and client/customer negotiation procedures

 JOB REQUIREMENTS

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Management, or a similar field.

  2. With at least 1 year of previous experience working as a Collections Officer

  3. Excellent negotiating skills.

  4. Good written and verbal communication skills.

  5. Good leadership and interpersonal skills.

  6. Familiarity with state debt collection laws.

  7. Knowledge of payment plans and accounting procedures.

  8. Knowledge of office and SAP software.

  9. Patience and resilience.

  10. Keen to details

  11. Preferably with experience in Real Estate
