ACCOUNTING SUPERVISOR

PURPOSE

Oversee accounting department functions to ensure efficiency, compliance and ensures the security of financial transactions by approving and supervising financial processes, supervising staff, reporting and auditing activities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Monitor the daily performance of the accounting department.
Approve petty cash advances.
Responsible of overseeing the generation of monthly departmental financial reports used to compare actual numbers to budget.
Worked closely with the management team to develop reports needed for budgeting purposes
Process monthly service charge computation
Approves cash disbursements by verifying check amounts against invoices, receiving report and purchase order.
Check reports for monthly BIR expanded withholding tax and VAT
Track expenditures and variances and take corrective measures as needed
Assist in preparing financial reports
Assign cost and inventory code in material profile for new item.
Fiesta administrator control and give access to fiesta users
Check reports of staff.
Conduct interview and training for new staff as well as performing performance evaluations and administering disciplinary actions as necessary.
Manage month-end and year-end closing.
Update reports needed by BOD for the weekly meeting.
To do other task/s that may be assigned by superiors.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor of Science in Accountancy graduate
With at least two (2) years supervisory experience in a resort, hotel or restaurant
Proficient in MS Office applications
Good knowledge in finance, accounting, budgeting and cost control procedures
Organized, keen to details and with good analytical skills
Flexible and creative in problem solving
Good leadership skill
