Key capabilities / Competencies

  • Strong background in forwarding operations -Air/Fleet/Ocean/Import/Export/Quotes 

  • Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's/College Degree in Customs Administration or Business Administration and equivalent.

  • Customer Service skills

  • Analytical skills

  • Software skills (Excel, Word, and Power point)

  • People management skills

  • Communication Skills – English (verbal and written)

  • 3 years Prior experience in operations in a logistics or freight forwarding industry.

  • Prior experience in building and maintaining Customer relationships

Other functions


To assist the goals of Operations, Marketing & Sales in ensuring that the shipments of the customer wherever they are deployed, are provided with the highest quality of service based from the agreed standards.


To handle the shipments of existing customers/agents for airfreight, ocean freight, and customs clearance. Ensures that the inquiries of customers, overseas agents are promptly replied to with accurate and complete information.


Job Description
A. Prepare agent and client quotes both for ocean and air, import and export.
B. Monitor incoming shipments for customs release and delivery of cargo. C. Handle outgoing shipments and ensure that accurate information is provided to customers/agents immediately.
D. Provide customer oriented service at all times relating to specific operations/ sales issue.
E. Establish good working relationship with customers to ensure repeat business and long term partnership.
F. Prepare shipping documents for customers/agents on import and export shipments
G. Liaise closely with Management for the account assignments and requirements; if there will be SOP amendments, ensure that these are escalated to the internal management.
H. Prepare Shipping Instructions and bookings with steamship lines, air carriers, and consolidators.
I. Ensure to handle the day-to-day shipping activities and documentation.
J. Ensure to escalate customer complaints to the Account Owners; closely follow-up for immediate resolution of complaint. Recommend solutions if necessary.
K. Monitor the shipping activities of the customers/agents through email, phone or fax.
L. Establish good working relationship with the customer/agents in order to ensure repeat and long-term business partnership.
M. Prepare shipping reports as required by the customer.
N. Perform customer-specific responsibilities as identified by internal management through the discussion of requirements with the customer.

Monday-Friday
0830H - 1730H
