Job Description

We are looking for a new member to support our dynamic organization. The responsibilities of an Audit Head comprises the overall planning, management, supervision, and analysis of the company’s audit systems and procedures in order to ensure a seamless finance and accounting processes. A very detailed person might excel at this job if you enjoy finding for gaps and errors and inconsistencies in the data. High ability to solve problems and deliver results is equally important.

 

Above all, you must be a good team player and is able to mentor your team members on how to do multi-tasking yet ensuring that everything has been organized well. Above all, you should have strong knowledge of accounting principles, good organizational skills, and working knowledge of accounting software. Ultimately, a top-notch in audit should have integrity, excellent mathematical skills, and an understanding of data privacy standards.

 

Audit Head Responsibilities:

  • Executes regular audit on all functional departments and reports audit findings to the President and CEO

  • Manages performance of audit assignments, reviews work papers and audit reports; edits reports prepared by other auditors.

  • Schedules and plans audits; initiates project planning, assess risk, and develops audit direction.

  • Performs preliminary planning and establishes direction for audits, provides leadership to assigned auditors, manage project to quality outcomes, while meeting established time budget.

  • Performs audit work, including plan preparation, work papers, finding, and associated reports; verifies the accuracy of financial records as they pertain to assets, liabilities, receipts, expenditures, and related transactions.

  • Coordinates and interacts with audit firms performing external audits of financial statements.

  • Participates in development, implementation, and maintenance of policies, objectives, short-and long-range planning; develops and implements projects and programs to assist in accomplishment of established goals.

  • Monitoring of sales and collection performance report, credit monitoring, credit sales, and collection.

  • Checks on weekly fuel consumption report.

  • Executes new directives given by management.

  • Overseeing client accounts.

  • Reviewing and performing audits on financial statements and reports.

  • Reporting discrepancies.

  • Auditing client accounts

  • All things accounting support and handling sensitive financial documents

  • Suggesting improvements in accuracy, efficiency, and reducing costs.

Audit Head Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess a degree in Accounting / Finance / Banking or equivalent

  • With Certification/Licensure Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification must be active and good standing or must be practicing Certified Internal Auditor (CIA).

  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience with ISO procedures and accreditation

  • Excellent Math and Reporting Skills

  • Very keen to details, can identify errors quickly; with superior data entry skills

  • Exemplary analysis and problem-solving skills

  • Good people management 

  • Sound experience as a Finance person

  • Experience in the construction industry is an advantage

  • Strong computer skills in MS Office programs particularly Excel and Excel functions

  • Top of the line math abilities

  • Ability to multi-task and self-motivate to ensure completion of tasks

  • Integrity and discretion

  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and time management skills

  • Ability to work independently and on a team

  • Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and adapt to a system or procedural changes as they arise
