Our expanding company is seeking to hire an Engineering Head to join our team. You will be in charge of providing inspired leadership for the Engineering department, which involves making important and strategic decisions, as well as the development and implementation of procedures in accordance with the plan and goal of the company.
Successful candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or its equivalent in related field and have proven experienced in Furniture industry, Cabinetry & Fit-outs in construction, with strong leadership ability. A deep understanding on construction process and technical standard in QA and QC in construction.
Responsible for overseeing a team of Engineers, technical personnel and skilled workers in the completion of the project.
Responsible in setting project budgets and timelines for completion.
Oversee the Drawing & Design section in developing detailed plans for new designs and products.
Making determinations for equipment, staff and training needs.
Leading research and development projects that produce new designs, products and processes.
Checking their team’s work for technical accuracy.
Ensuring the validity of methods used by technical personnel.
Coordinating work with other managers and staff.
Coordinate and monitor the assigned engineering projects
Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications
Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel’s performance) and report regularly on project status.
Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support.
Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Architectural, its equivalent and other related field.
Licensed is a plus
With 10 years combine experienced in Engineering works from furniture company and construction.
Understanding on budgeting, cost variations and scheduling.
Ability to build consensus and relationships among managers, partners, and employees.
Excellent communication skills, decision making ability and leadership skills.
Solid understanding on furniture making process and construction.
Keen on details, resourceful and can understand and interpret shop drawing.
Proven working experience as Engineering Manager or supervisor.
With knowledge in design and visualizations software, CADD and others.
Advanced MS Office skills.
Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards.
Time management and organization skills.
