Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile transactions by comparing and correcting data

  • Collaborate with operations on timing and accuracy of revenue data

  • Research discrepancies between internal and external data

  • Follow up with carriers and business partners on discrepancies in reports

  • Review cash collection reconciliations, monthly reporting, and prepare financial analysis

  • Research and resolve inquiries for assigned functional areas; Investigate and report to the Manager any inconsistencies or improprieties

  • Responsible for performing special projects to improve process efficiency and performance projects as assigned by Management

  • Provide timely, relevant, and accurate reporting & analysis of the results of performance

  • Demonstrate appropriate understanding/working knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls and apply them.

  • Prepare monthly lapse reserve analysis and report to the manager on what actions should be taken based on the data.

  • Review monthly revenue entries and reconciliations of commissions receivable

  • Work with the business intelligence team to create meaningful metrics for executive leadership

Desired skills and knowledge:

  • Motivated self-starter who’s passionate about managing operational processes

  • Must have a bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting

  • At least 4 years of operational finance or accounting experience required

  • Moderate to advanced Excel proficiency

  • Requires strong analytical and quantitative skills

  • Independent worker with the ability to conduct research and resolve complex problems

  • Knowledge of procedural controls and data validation techniques required

  • Financial modeling expertise a plus

  • Willing to work on-site
