MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS ASSOCIATE

The Role:

 

Working on a number of campaigns including, but not limited to, the company’s website, content, materials, brand, and media, the Marketing Communications Associate assists with the company’s marketing and communications activities. The Associate will work closely with the management to support the company’s goals and business objectives by coordinating and supporting strategic communications activities/campaigns across platforms. 

 

Primary job responsibilities include: 

  • Assisting in creating and maintaining voice/tone of communications, including company branding and compliance; 

  • Producing and maintaining web content for the company’s websites, including reviews/updates, writing speaking engagement and other related articles, and managing imagery; assisting with other related external web projects; 

  • Increase the company’s reach and engagement through email marketing, website, media, and collateral; 

  • Developing, creating and editing digital assets, including the development and editing of standardized templates to ensure consistency in communications (i.e., email templates, PDFs, PowerPoint templates, Word documents, thought-ware pieces/service brochures and other materials), managing firm-wide biographies, personnel photos and stock photography, and social media promos; 

  • Writing original content and editing existing content; 

  • Assisting the company's media efforts, such as tracking and promoting coverage, evaluating requests, and ensuring our communication efforts are visible and promoted;

  • Gathering data to aid in the preparation and execution of communication pieces, resulting in communications that are crisp, visually modern, and well-written; Strengthening and solidifying overall brand by creating and supporting marketing campaigns. 

This is an ideal role for someone with the following qualifications: 

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills 

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills 

  • Strong writing skills 

  • Employs strong project management skills (initiating, planning, executing, managing, and closing projects to achieve planned objectives). 

  • Flexible, self-motivated, results oriented, detail oriented, and proactive. 

  • The Marketing Communications Associate will work with management and our Business Development Officer). 

The Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or coursework in IT, business, marketing or communications; At least 1 year previous marketing experience required; 

  • Very strong attention to detail and effective project management skills; Able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels, especially senior management; 

  • Strong writing skills and experience developing marketing communications such as letters, white-papers, etc.; 

  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills; outgoing, tenacious and ambitious; Functions autonomously with a sense of urgency; 

  • Comfortable with ambiguity and is able to multitask, prioritize workload and meet deadlines; 

  • Ability to manage confidential information in a reliable manner; 

  • Able to work with MS Office and Google Docs; 

  • InDesign and/or PhotoShop experience is an advantage;

  • Previous experience working in an IT development company is a plus.
