Job Description:
A paraplanner is a person within the Financial Services industry that prepares Statement of Advice documents, financial modelling and other financial planning documents.
A paraplanner is usually working under the direction of a senior financial planner. The paraplanner performs several of the necessary tasks in developing a financial plan for a customer. First, they gather financial reports and records from the client. Next, the paraplanner reviews the client's financial records and starts creating and modeling different possible financial scenarios. In the process of creating these scenarios, the paraplanner determines how assets should be allocated and ultimately uses this information to make recommendations on which financial plan should be followed.
  • At least Accountancy or Management Accounting Bachelor’s Degree from a reputable school/university
  • Good scholastic track record. Honor students are welcome and encouraged to apply
  • Undergraduate in Law is a plus!
  • Diploma in Financial Planning (Dip FP or Advanced Dip FP) is an advantage but not required
Skills and Experience
We will hire a candidate with the capacity and experience to do the requirements below:
  • Preparing Fact Find documents
  • Writing Record of Advice (RoA) and Statement of Advice (SoA) on risk and investment strategies
  • Analyzing paraplanning requests
  • Generate investment statements, certificate of currency
  • Research on existing and recommended financial products
  • Handling data XPLAN:
    • Client data
    • WealthSolver
    • Risk Researcher
    • XTools
    • Like for Like, etc.
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Great English grammar and punctuation
  • Strong attention to detail is a must!
  • Accuracy in proofreading, reviewing and editing documents
  • Proficiency and speed in using MS Excel and Word
  • Must be a fast learner, team player, self-starter
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task and think outside the box
