Job Summary:
 
The Account Development Manager is the lead person for a specific Key Account or cluster. The primary function of this Manager is to ensure strong multi-level engagement with the trade partner across product categories and geographies that are anchored on business analytics, category insights and consumer behaviour.
 
This Manager is empowered to create and propose decisions to help support the operations and business growth. This position will be supported by an account team which will be led and developed by the ADM. As a group, they will collectively bring forward business objectives while strengthening the partnership with Key Account being managed. The ADM will extend coverage and influence beyond the buying groups but rather cover all levers of the business with the account such as Supply Chain, Logistics, Marketing and Finance to ensure a deep and multi-faceted presence that defines the true Key Account Management.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
 
I. Account management – manage the top accounts or cluster of accounts for the company. This position also oversee customer engagement, including negotiations and agreements to further build the business.
II. Program and Operational Development – ensure that the proper investments are made by the company to further build on the business with our business partner while working cross functionally to ensure that operations are fluid and efficient from both ends.
III. Growing People - as a people manager, this position provides directions and guidance to the direct reports and third-party partners on a constant basis. Business continuity and competency development are primary priorities of the ADM which will be applied through on the job and field coaching, engagement mentoring and situational leadership. To sharpen the business tools and metric of the business are key duties that are expected to be dynamics and flexible.
 
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree holder of business-related courses from reputable universities;
• Must have exposure in the FMCG Industry with at least five (5) years hands on experience as a supervisor or two (2) years’ experience as a Manager gained in a similar industry.
• Must have actual experience in managing modern trade and national key accounts.
• Would have a reliable business network with the Key Account to be managed. 
• Adept knowledge in principles and methods for promoting and selling products and services (marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques and control systems.).
• Highly analytical with strong numerical ability and proficient in MS applications.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.
