The Facilities Manager reports to Director Facilities and with full responsibility for the entire facilities, management of the site under his/her assigned area to achieve Legato Facilities transformation and contribution to the company goals.
The role is responsible for ensuring that the physical infrastructure of the business is operational as it should, as well as identifying areas for greater efficiency and cost-saving.
The Role requires supporting other sites on certain situations. This scope covers oversight and coordination of all building systems including -- such as HVAC, mechanical, electrical, fire protection, etc. -- and other facilities-related systems to support the business (i.e. structured cabling, furniture & fixtures reconfiguration, etc.).
The following positions reports to the role: Facilities Engineer, third party service providers (sr. technicians, multi-skilled technicians, housekeepers)
  • Manager that will be the focal point on all facilities-related escalations and resolutions of the site.
  • The position will be responsible for excellent fiscal management of the facility including all operational and capital budgets and the associated variances. This will include the continuous review and development of cost-efficient programs that contribute to the bottom-line.
  • Likewise, the position will also effectively manage, lead and develop a team of competent, organic personnel as well as manage third party service providers to meet the needs of the business.
  • He or she will provide strategic planning, training and coaching to his or her direct reports
  • Expected to conduct vendor management and performance reviews of all service providers.
  • Ensure Emergency Preparedness for the sites and provide support for Business Continuity Planning (BCP).
  • Liaising with local property owners, local government units, and third party providers as may be required.
  • At all times, the person shall maintain the utmost level of organizational and personal integrity, professionalism, and ethical standards.
Key Areas of Skills and Experience:
  • Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Certification as Managing Head for DENR – Department of Environment and Natural Resources
  • Certification as Pollution Control Officer - PCO
  • Experience in BPO industry handling similar responsibility is required
  • Professional certification in area of expertise (i.e. Certified Facility Professional, Project Management Professional) or equivalent
  • In-depth knowledge of building systems and controls including HVAC, UPS, PACU, Power Generators, Chillers, Fire Protection, Elevators, etc. including business-critical data center infrastructure
  • Knowledge in industry standards (i.e. PCI, HIPAA, ISO or BI) is highly preferred
  • Excellent Planning and Project Management capability in rolling out facilities activities that have significant impact to operations and the business
  • Outstanding ability to work well with partner-stakeholders such as IT, Finance, Procurement, HR, Operations and Executive Management (both local and global)
  • Strong network of industry partners across various trades (i.e. Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Fire Protection, etc.)
  • Confidently represent the company in managing external resources such as local property owners, government agencies (PEZA, LGU, etc.) and auditors.
  • Capability to work with AUTOCAD and similar design software is highly preferred
  • Strong ability to adapt to a changing, high-pressure business environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills across all mediums
  • Strong ability to develop and monitor operational and capital budgets within 1% variance
  • Strong computer skills to include working knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint

  • Must have the courage of their convictions and be prepared to educate stakeholders. Must have excellent inter-personal skills to enable them to “sell their ideas” to key business stakeholders.
  • Graduate of a Bachelor's / College Degree, any field
  • Willing to work or be based at Iloilo
