Job Overview:
 
Help people who are deaf or have hearing loss communicate by acting as an interpreter via an application. You must be able to read and interpret non-verbal forms of communication and help make sure the English speaker receives and understands the fullness of the message.

Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret sign language and act as a medium to transmit what is being communicated between speakers (through an application).
  • Effectively, accurately, and impartially convey the thought, intent, and spirit of a speaker to deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals.
  • Understand that the needs of the customer could range from situations needing help in a store to interpretation in an office to many other day-to-day scenarios.
  • Be courteous and interpret properly and professionally.
  • Be passionate about the service.
Desired Skills & Knowledge:
  • Clear speaking voice
  • Must be fluent in both English and sign language
  • Must be a graduate of Special Needs Education, Sign Language Certification Course or related field
  • BPO experience an advantage
  • American Sign Language Interpreting Certificate an advantage
  • Proficient in video communication tools (Zoom, Google Meet, etc.)
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Energetic, fun and confident personality
  • Willing to work full-time night shift
Work Schedule: Night Shift
