We are urgently hiring a FURNITURE UPHOLSTERER with the following qualifications:
  • High school graduates are welcome
  • At least 2-4 years of working experience as an upholsterer
  • Can operate sewing machines, portable hand-sewing equipment, nail guns, hobnail and tack hammers, and other industrial equipment as needed
Applicants must also possess the following qualities:
  • Pleasing personality with good communication skills
  • A team player and able to take constructive feedback well
  • Attention to detail 
  • Has a good work attendance record
  • Analytical and can work with minimal supervision
  • Willing to work overtime if needed
  • Goal-oriented and driven to meet deadlines. 
  • Open to developing their skillset with training and workshops
  • Apply and install batting, foam, poly-filler and cut fabric to wooden or metal framework in the assembly of handcrafted furniture
  • Attach finishes, including buttons, trims, tassels, and other decorative accessories
  • Measure and cut fabric or leather pieces with the aid of patterns or stencils and industrial cutting tools to precise sizes and dimensions
  • Make throw pillows and cushions
  • Repair or redesign upholstered furniture if needed
