We are looking to hire a B2B social media expert with a minimum of 2 years relevant B2B experience (ideally software) to deliver exponential growth in our organic social following and performance across all key social media channels for both our company brand and our key personnel.
The focus of this role is organic social growth.
However, expertise in paid social (Facebook Ads/LinkedIn ads), search (Google Ads) and B2B display advertising management would be highly regarded as additional areas of ownership.

This person will be responsible for driving our organic social performance including:
  • Agreeing aggressive month by month performance growth objectives and KPIs with the leadership team for each channel and for our overall organic social performance – including
    • Followers
    • Reach
    • Engagement – Views, Comments, Likes, Shares
    • Website Visits
    • Qualified Leads
  • Owning the achievement of these KPIs and demonstrating progress towards them via weekly progress reports
  • Devising a strategy and necessary systems for each social channel to achieve KPIs including
    • Social posting calendar (based on optimum times for B2B)
    • Social Posting / engagement best practice checklists to ensure maximum reach and engagement
    • Content strategy and editorial calendar in partnership with the in-house marketing team to fuel our social growth – putting forward required content to succeed in meeting KPIs
  • Researching and identifying key influencers and groups in each channel and a program to build relationships with them to drive their engagement with our brand
  • Developing a set of checklists, calendars and other tools & systems to enable the in-house marketing team and other employees to contribute to the achievement of social performance KPIs
  • Providing a social selling framework for key employees within the business to maximise amplification of branding and content
  • Overseeing the execution of the strategy by directly executing agreed areas and collaborating with the in-house marketing team and key employees on other deliverables
  • Coordinating a day to day calendar of actions in terms of content posting & interaction with our target audience, influencers and groups to drive engagement (maximise Comments, Posts, Replies)
  • Conducting daily monitoring and social listening for new content, engagement opportunities and customer insight
  • Forming Facebook and LinkedIn groups and a YouTube channel and setting the community and engagement management frameworks
  • Overseeing our LinkedIn connection building and outreach using automation and manual processes
  • Researching Facebook profiles of our target prospects and building a friends network / group membership
  • Use of social automation tools – Buffer, Sprout Social, Hootsuite or similar for scheduling and analytics
  • Carrying out extensive weekly analytics and progress reports to demonstrate KPIs performance & ways to improve
  • Plus, depending on experience:
    • Paid social ads management (Facebook Ads, LinkedIn Ads, YouTube Ads)
    • Paid search ads management (Google Ads)
  • Must demonstrate a proven track record of dramatically increasing the followers and engagement for both a b2b brand (ideally Software/Tech) and a key figurehead within their company (CEO/other C-Leve/subject matter expert)
  • Minimum 2 years experience (and ideally relevant course qualifications) in building and managing the social media presence for in EACH of the following channels:
    • Facebook
    • Instagram
    • LinkedIn
    • YouTube
  • An in depth, advanced technical understanding of the algorithms for each of the above social channels and how to maximise organic reach and engagement
  • Minimum 2 years experience in EACH of the responsibilities areas described in the section above
Highly regarded:
  • Paid social ads management (Facebook Ads, LinkedIn Ads, YouTube Ads)
  • Ability to coordinate reviews and responses / comments for Gartner/Software Advice, Xero App Marketplace, Google (though for Google we have a decent mechanism in place)
  • Adwords/PPC management capability (ideally 2 years experience with B2B lead generation conversion optimisation goals being the focus)
  • Experience and knowledge of the retail sector – particularly in operational areas such as inventory management, product management, loyalty and marketing
  • Copywriting - experience originating written form B2B content such as blogs
