IT VOIP SPECIALIST | Up to 60K+++ Total Salary Package
 
Job Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Graduate of any IT related course
  • Proven experience as a VOIP Specialist or at least 5+ years of experience in the related field.
  • With excellent knowledge and troubleshooting experience on dialer equipment.
  • With strong working experience of patch management, firewalls, proxy, etc.
  • With strong working experience with Linux, VPN and SQL Database administration.
  • CISCO certified or any IT related certifications.
  • With server side scripting (PHP/Perl/Bash/Python) experience.
  • Excellent in technical problem solving and issue resolution skills along with knowledge and experience in Incident Report Management.
  • With leadership skills and supervisory experience.
  • Experience in a BPO environment is preferred.
Job Description Summary:
 
IT VoIP Specialist main responsibility is to install, monitor, repair and maintain communications systems and equipment to ensure voice operations system are in place. He shall also facilitate prompt detection, resolution, escalation and reporting of service impacting related events and incidents.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Capable of operating and maintaining telecommunications/voice systems.
  • Able to translate organization and end user requirements and implement solutions using existing telecommunications /voice/computer technology to meet requirements.
  • Provide support and coordinate engineering solutions and telecommunications/voice administration for all components associated with telecommunications/VoIP capabilities.
  • Maintain up to date configuration of all commercial software and hardware relevant to the management of the telecommunications/VoIP capabilities.
  • Evaluate, troubleshoot and analyze telecommunications/VoIP events and the ability to monitor data on the network to provide troubleshooting and event diagnosis.
  • Develop deployment and integration plans for new telecommunications/VoIP systems.
  • Conduct inspection on hardware to check vulnerable points of access.
  • Create policies and procedures related to VoIP system management and related procedures.
  • Researches software application and hardware requirements to provide recommendations regarding applications and purchases and ensuring availability of assets.
  • Ensure that telecommunications/voice systems is working 99.98%.
  • Design and implement safety measures and data recovery or redundancy plans.
  • Resolve operational issues escalated by IT Tier 3 Admin Support which may hinder security threat and the like.
  • Perform daily and quarterly network and system maintenance.
  • Performs system backup/restore, replication and migration.
  • Create scripts for system automation and integration.
  • Create system specifications which is composed of process flows, database schema and variable definitions.
