Hyking Marine Trading specializing in Ship Equipment, Shipyard Facility, Marine Life Saving & Fire Fighting and Ship System. Hyking Marine Trading has a widest range supply for ship building with technical support, with our group headquarter in China and (4) four branches in Indonesia, (1) one branch in Malaysia and (1) one in Philippines.

Department Mission
To provide quality HR services to attract, develop, engage and retain a diverse workforce in  Hyking Marine Trading with core services and competencies that include recruitment and staffing, employee relations, organizational and employee development and compensation and benefits.
Department:  Human Resources
Immediate Superior:  Principal
Direct Reports:  HR Officer
Back-up Position/to:  HR Officer/ Principal
Job Purpose
Is responsible for overseeing the general Human Resources programs/processes. This includes recruitment, onboarding & assimilation, timekeeping & payroll administration, training, performance management, career development, performance improvement, termination, exit management, conduct & compliance and internal audit within the HR Department.
Job Qualifications
  • Graduate of BS/AB Psychology, Behavioral Science, Business Management or any related course  
  • At least 5 years of work experience as an HR Officer/ HR Manager in medium-sized firm
  • Knowledgeable in various HR programs, quality management systems and Labor Laws
  • Proficient in various computer applications such as MS Office

Performance Factors/Results & Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Organization & Direction of Complex Work Efforts
    • Provides current and prospective employees with information about policies, job duties, working conditions, wages, and opportunities for promotion and employee benefits.
  • Handling of Critical Situations/Conflict Management
    • Performs difficult staffing duties, including dealing with understaffing, refereeing disputes, firing employees, and administering disciplinary procedures.
    • Represents organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations.
  • Application of Skills & Capabilities
    • Identifies staff vacancies and recruit, interview and select applicants.
    • Allocates human resources, ensuring appropriate matches between personnel.
    • Analyzes and modifies compensation and benefits policies to establish competitive programs and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
    • Plans, directs, supervises, and coordinates work activities of subordinates and staff relating to employment, compensation, labor relations, and employee relations.
    • Plans, organizes, directs, controls or coordinates the personnel, training, or labor relations activities of an organization.
    • Conducts exit interviews to identify reasons for employee termination.
    • Investigates and reports on industrial accidents for insurance carriers.
    • Develops, administer and evaluates applicant.
    • Oversees the evaluation, classification and rating of occupations and job positions.
    • Administers compensation, benefits and performance management systems, and safety and recreation programs.
    • Analyzes training needs to design employee development, training and health and safety programs.
    • Develops and/or administer special projects in areas such as pay equity, savings bond programs, day-care, and employee awards.
  • Building Integrity & Credibility/ Positive Image Enhancement
    • Serves as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting and administering contracts and helping resolve work-related problems.
  • Supervision
    • Monitors, reviews, checks and evaluates the performance and deliverables of the HR personnel.
    • Imparts his/her inputs and other requirements needed in the department.
    • Trains, develops and motivates his/her staff to ensure effectiveness, efficiency and high performance in the Company.
    • Delegates the responsibility, authority or data gathering/processing to the most appropriate
  • Performs other management mandated functions.
Working Conditions
  • Will be required to visit or travel to Hyking Marine Trading client/ contractor locations/ job sites/ buildings/ locations as necessary 
  • May be required to render overtime as necessary during weekdays, weekends or holidays
