Role Purpose:

The job holder is responsible for meeting customers at the assigned locations to collect relevant information related to acquiring and processing car loans and motor insurance. The role involves assisting the Line Manager in day-to-day operations, providing continual customer interface and support to achieve the pre-approved penetration rate and generating income for the company.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Meets the customer and seeks the required information to assess the customer’s eligibility to secure a car loan. In case the customer is not eligible, advises an alternative option to enable him to secure finance and purchase the car
  • Based on customer’s loan eligibility, collects relevant documents from the customer and submits them to the bank to approve the loan. This includes generating a vehicle quotation for handing over, along with the loan application
  • Collects a minimal deposit to book the car if the customer is clearly interested in a purchase, or he is eligible to take a loan. Once this is done , follows up with the bank to check status of the loan approval
  • Once loan is approved, collects a further deposit i.e. an equivalent of 20% of the price of the vehicle to endorse the loan agreement and facilitate release of the formal approval (LPO) by the bank. Once this is done, mortgage letter and LPO (provided by the customer) are handed over to the Sales person
  • Follows-up on the release letter to transfer the used car ownership to the Company
  • Answers all queries on car loan finance and insurance, particularly during campaigns for special offers. This includes providing a clear explanation on special offers given during the campaign period
  • Promotes products such as paint protection, window tinting to generate income for the department and company
  • Offers motor insurance coverage to the customer and includes it in the bank loan approval process to secure insurance funding along with the car loan. This includes providing a clear explanation on how the insurance policy works
  • Upon ‘full and final’ approval, submits the insurance requisitions to the service provider to issue an insurance policy. Once this is ready hands over the policy document to the Sales person
  • Generates an invoice and along with the car registration copy, LPO and other relevant insurance documents, submits to the bank to facilitate payment for the booked car. This includes coordinating with banks for delayed payments
  • Attends regular meetings with the Showroom manager to provide progress updates on finance deals and seek support to resolve issues if any
  • Prepares finance and insurance related weekly reports to provide feedback on deals proposed, and closed. Once this is done, participates in meetings with the Line manager to review and discuss performance
  • Participates in training and development programmes to enhance professional knowledge and growth as required
  • Diploma in Accounting, Finance or Banking
  • Minimum 2-3 years customer service experience within the banking industry, preferably within the car Loans department

  • Written and verbal communication in English (other regionally spoken languages including Arabic would be an added advantage)
