About the Opportunity

51Talk is looking for thousands of home-based online teachers to conduct 1-on-1 English lessons. You can earn up to Php80K as a full-time teacher and enjoy more perks –

As a 51Talk teacher, you must have these:

Basic Requirements

A four-year Bachelor’s degree
Proficiency in speaking the English language with neutral accent
Availability to teach whenever you’re available during peak times (each lesson lasts 25 minutes):
- 7:00pm – 9:30pm Beijing Time (Weekdays: Monday to Friday)
- 9:00am – 9:30pm Beijing Time (Weekends: Saturday to Sunday)
Valid diploma, credentials, and government-issued ID are required
Experience in teaching English to young learners or foreigners (ESL/EFL) is an advantage
A teaching certificate, including teaching licenses, TESOL, TEFL, etc. is preferred

Device Requirements

Desktop or laptop
- Operating System: Windows 7 or above
- CPU: Intel Core i3 5th gen / i5 / i7 or AMD equivalent
- Memory: At least 4GB of RAM with minimum 60GB free hard disk space available
Headset with extended microphone and noise-cancelling features
High-definition (HD) external or integrated webcam (with at least 720p resolution)

Network Connection

Wired DSL Internet connection of at least 3 Mbps (LTE, USB sticks & wireless connections are not allowed)
Download speed of at least 1Mbps or higher | Upload speed of at least 0.50Mbps or higher

Start teaching in as fast as 3 days! Here’s how:

Day 1

Apply online and schedule an interview (valid mobile number, email address, and Skype ID are required)
Pass the interview and technical check on Skype
Attend the pre-service orientation and sign the service agreement

Day 2

Complete the new teacher training and introduction to TESOL
Ace the teaching demo

Day 3

Attend the onboarding session and open your teaching slots
Submit your requirements and start teaching!
