We’re looking for a Travel Marketing Assistant to join our fantastic team! This is for a DAYSHIFT Australian account - Saturdays and Sundays off.
 
We are looking for a resourceful Travel Marketing Assistant to work with a fantastic Travel company and a small yet dynamic team. You will also be involved with the marketing of the business as a whole, which includes podcasting and curating exciting social media content. The candidate would be involved in the day to day operations as well as assisting with key duties within the team. Someone who loves the tourism and hospitality industries as well as has high attention to detail would be a perfect candidate for the role. This is a brand NEW role as the team is growing. 
 
Responsibilities:
  • Create and review content for Social Media posts and upload the approved photos and text to Instagram/Facebook
  • Attend and prepare for weekly Social Media Meetings
  • Confirm and report that images and posts are actioned and live daily
  • Create and submit a weekly report on Statistics - what’s working and not working on Social Media platforms during weekly meetings
  • Execute innovative and strategic marketing through the use of various social media platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter
  • Basic website updates and blog management
  • Other tasks as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s / College Degree in Airline Operation, Airport Management, Hospitality, Tourism, or Hotel Management
  • Work experience as a travel agent, travel aggregator, or any other role in the travel and hospitality industry is preferred
  • Basic knowledge of WordPress
  • Working knowledge of HootSuite or any other social media management platform
  • Proficient in using Canva, Adobe Photoshop, and/or other applications for basic graphic design
  • Excellent English - written and verbal
  • Able to use Microsoft Office and G Suite products
  • Knowledge in Ontraport - is a PLUS
  • Positive and personable attitude
  • Customer-oriented with good multi-tasking abilities
  • Possesses discretion, good judgment, and initiative
  • Excellent organizational and management ability
  • Someone personable, friendly, patient
  • High attention to detail and ability to follow instructions easily
  • Eager and willing to learn
  • Able to work well in a team and autonomously
