Is currently looking for:
MAINTENANCE MANAGER for Heavy Equipment
The position is responsible for the overall systematic maintenance of the equipment by providing leadership on preventive maintenance management, including schedule, process, resource allocation and people management. It maintains a quality operational standardsin support of the overall business operations, provides specific focus on vehicle utilization, preventive maintenance and cost management.
Preferably a licensed Mechanical Engineer
At least 5 years experienced in heavy equipment operations
With experience in driving 4-wheel vehicle
Promotes ability to analyze failures and implement corrective solutions
Professionally collaborates with others
With experience in driving
Maintains function and reliability of facility systems and associated equipment by implementing a preventive maintenance program; operating and testing systems and equipment; restoring, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing faulty or inoperative components and parts.
Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal codes and regulations.
Responsible for maintenance, preventative maintenance and repair of trucks.
Ensures vehicle management systems are effectively utilized.
Ensures safe and reliable vehicles are available to meet operational requirements.
Conducts fleet evaluations to ensure maintenance standards are met.
Manages effective utilization of vehicle assets.
Ensures the cleanliness and maintenance of the maintenance shops through regular inspections and preventive maintenance programs.
Assists in creating a positive team-oriented environment through effective coaching and team performance management of the department including selecting, coaching, training staff and evaluating employee performance.
Direct the development of the maintenance department.
Review actions taken on delays arising from mechanical failures and develop metrics to determine root cause and preventive measures.
Prepare written and oral reports for management comittee as required.
