CONVENIENCE STORE SUPERVISOR - (URGENT)
 
SUMMARY:

The Convenience Store Supervisor is responsible for the day to day functions like coordinating deliveries, determining pricing, purchasing inventory, processing invoice, and recruiting then training store clerks. He or She is responsible for meeting the financial goals of the store while overseeing and ensuring a smooth operation. Moreover, (s)he is tasked to look for and concert with potential suppliers for the initial opening of the store. The Convenience Store Supervisor confers with the General Manager for any relevant matters

Responsibilities:
 
1. Personnel Management
  • Fills staffing needs through the acquisition of best suited store staffs from cashiers to stockers, etc.
  • Trains new staff members to ensure excellent customer service and schedules shifts
  • Oversees and disciplines all staffs according to company policy and provides performance evaluation and feedback
  • Follow and enforce all Company Policies and Established Procedures in the store
  • Communicate with the manager regarding the sales, employees and other important matters.
2. Inventory
  • Creates database for purchase details including suppliers information, invoices and pricing, and other delivery transactions
  • Creates and maintains detailed inventory of all incoming, outgoing, and current supplies
  • Keeps inventory regularly updated
  • Ensures to replenish stocks and avoid overstocking
  • Monitors cash flow (short/over) daily
3. Customer Relation
  • Helps customers by addressing their questions, concerns, and comments
  • Resolve customer complaints in a timely and professional manner
  • Report and process all employee and/ or customer incidents or accidents following company procedure.
4. Purchasing
  • Acquires local and international products as store merchandise 
  • Coordinates in obtaining necessary materials, furniture or apparatus for the store start-up
  • Establishes trusted relationships with suppliers to ensure quality service and cost-effective deals
5. Markets the store by spearheading the creation of a positive image through creative and safely put displays which are priced correctly
 
6. Other tasks as required
 
Qualifications:
  • Must be a graduate of a four year course preferably Business Administration or any of its equivalent
  • At least 2 years of working experience in the related field
  • Knowledgeable with business and its processes
  • Proficient in inventory audits, basic accounting or bookkeeping
  • Proficient Skills in Microsoft Applications (MS Word, PPT, Excel, Office)
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Good communication and negotiation abilities
Desirable:
  • Knowledgeable in store operations
  • Knowledgeable with dealing and training people
  • Pleasant personality for customer relations
