CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
 
Summary:
 
Responsible for the review of Financial Statements, business and financial strategy and planning, monitoring, management and reporting, including management and development of policies, systems, processes and personnel involved. Directs reporting and accounting as per regulatory and legal requirements including taxation, annual report.
 
Provides direct and indirect supervision to subordinate managers and employees performing diverse roles within the company. This includes establishing plans or objectives, and developing policies for the company.  Part of the team in implementing projects or programs on a multi-functional basis.  Work is guided by broad site objectives and corporate policies. Provides final approval for subordinate managers’/supervisors’ salary and performance recommendations. Builds cross-functional relationships where persuasive skills, negotiation skills, and considerable tact are required to gain support. 
 
Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Manages financial and accounting personnel. Staffs the department, may directly or indirectly assign work to any staff, reviews performance and addresses performance issues.
  • Provides leadership, coaching and development. Promotes and maintains a productive work environment.
  • Directs strategic financial planning, budgeting and financial risk assessment.
  • Directs the preparation of annual operating and capital budgets and cash flow projections.
  • Manages all corporate financial functions including general accounting, internal reporting and controls, planning, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
  • Monitors and analyses the company’s financial conditions and performance and works closely with the President and the operations team to ensure continuous financial improvement.
  • Set departmental goals and targets.
  • Notes vouchers and signs check, Telegraphic Transfers and other forms of payments.
  • Directs compliance with corporate governmental regulations for all financial tax and related activities and provides financial reports to the BOD.
  • Analyzes new business opportunities and new projects.
  • Coordinates with the company’s external auditor with reference to annual audit of company’s financial statements.
  • Manages activities associated with the financial planning process.
  • Coordinates with operations team on revenue & cost forecasts.
  • Develops new procedures and implements new processes to continually improve service quality
  • Performs such other functions as requested by the UPSELL Group Directors / CEO / President

Minimum Qualifications:
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of financial management.
  • Knowledge in PEZA, SEC, BIR, DOLE, SSS, Pag-ibig, Philhealth rules.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation and problem resolution skills.
  • Strong Project Management skills.
  • Ability to effectively lead, manage, train and motivate a diverse group of employees. 
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Significant skills required in multi-tasking and time management 
  • Strong organizational development, leadership development, facilitation, consulting skills.
  • Ability to interface with many international sites to establish strong working relationships and cooperation. 
  • Knowledge in MS Office Applications (Word, Excel and Power Point).
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of internal and external customers.
Experience: At least 10 - 20 years of extensive experience in the related field.
 
Personality: Ability to communicate effectively with external parties and internal employees.

Education: Bachelor of Science in Commerce (BSC) and must have a CPA license.
