We are a casual neighborhood Pintxos and Tapas restaurant. We have a wide selection of food, wine and Gin Tonic. We pride ourselves in serving basque-inspired meals, using high quality ingredients. We currently have three branches - one in Alabang, one in BGC, and one in Salcedo Village.

STEWARD
 
Reports to: Head Chef
 
Job Summary:
 
The steward is responsible for keeping up on dishes and cleanliness of the restaurant premises and offices. is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for china, glassware, tableware, cooking utensils, etc., using machine and manual cleaning methods. This position also ensures the dishwashing area is maintained as a clean, safe and sanitary facility.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Prepares the kitchen for use by laying out non-slip mats, clean kitchen equipment, and doing over- all cleaning;
  • Collects and segregates used utensils, plates, glassware, and kitchen tools from the bussing window immediately;
  • Cleans dirty dishes, tableware, and other cooking utensils;
  • Sorts and stacks clean dishes, tableware, and cooking utensils and carries these to cook’s line and other proper storage areas;
  • Washes pots, pans, and trays and puts them in proper storage areas;
  • Removes trash and garbage to dumpster;
  • Cleans restrooms of the restaurant and/or the office in accordance with cleaning schedules set;
  • Sweeps/mops floors;
  • Sweeps up trash around exterior of restaurant and garbage dumpster;
  • Wipes up any spills to ensure floors (kitchen and dining) remain dry;
  • Cleans and rolls/unrolls mats;
  • Any other tasks that may be necessary or assigned.
Job Requirements
  • Work experience as a dishwasher or janitor;
  • Knowledge of restaurant safety practices;
  • Displays thoroughness, a sense of responsibility and trustworthiness.
  • Must be able to sustain energy level and have physical endurance;
  • Must have quick and steady hand movements to carry on swift dishwashing work with minimal breakerages or injuries
Physical Demands
 
The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop or kneel. The employee must frequently lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
 
Work Environment
 
This job operates in a kitchen environment. This role routinely uses sinks and dishwashers and tools to clean kitchen appliances. Employees in this role are frequently exposed to hot water, potentially slippery floors, garbage disposals and cleaning chemicals.
