We are a casual neighborhood Pintxos and Tapas restaurant. We have a wide selection of food, wine and Gin Tonic. We pride ourselves in serving basque-inspired meals, using high quality ingredients. We currently have three branches - one in Alabang, one in BGC, and one in Salcedo Village.

Reports to: Head Chef
The Line Cook prepares, seasons, and cooks dishes in the restaurant. S/he may order supplies, keep records, price items on menu or assist in planning menus.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Sets up each workstation as prescribed by the opening and closing procedures/checklists;
Maintains a clean workstation up to par with food safety and food handling guidelines;
Carries out pre work before meal service, as per par stock levels;
Endorses prep work to the incoming shift, as per par stock levels;
Correctly executes each recipe, as prescribed by the standardized recipe guides;
Inspects the quality and acceptability of ingredients assigned to his/her workstation and ensures they are fit for consumption;
Ensures freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, and rotating stock;
Cleans and maintains the good condition of assigned kitchen equipment;
Implements the assigned opening and closing procedures and submits required documentation to ensure a seamless hand-over to the next shift;
Endorses requests for repair, maintenance, or purchase of equipment items to the Head Chef;
Adheres to food safety and food handling policies and procedures;
Seasons and cooks food according to recipes;
Substitutes for or assists other cooks during emergencies or rush periods;
Portions, arranges, and garnishes food for service to patrons;
Any other tasks that may be necessary or assigned.
Knowledge of various cooking methods and procedures, work experience as a cook with employment at a Spanish restaurant a plus;
Knowledge of food safety and handling procedures;
Proficient in executing menu items of assigned kitchen station;
Ability to communicate, verbally and in writing, and the ability to manage himself and time;
Ability to identify and solve problems.
The employee is required to stand for long periods as well as walk, bend, lift (50 pounds), and stoop. The position requires working taste buds, ability to smell, feel with fingers and visually inspect, including close and distance vision. The position requires ability to use arms, hands and manipulate fingers to reach, stir, measure, pour, cut, chop, dice, decorate, etc.
The work environment can be loud and busy. There are many kitchen hazards such as hot surfaces and liquids, sharp knives, and slippery floors.
