The SQL Developer’s role is to design and develop reporting and data integration solutions. This position will focus on processes and technologies that enable reporting and analysis, with an emphasis on SQL. Requires working with business users across the company to understand and document requirements for data and reporting.
Successful candidates are hands-on technologists with good business acumen and experience in recognizing business needs.
Design, code, test, and document new or modified BI and ETL systems, applications, and programs.
Create and modify stored procedures, functions, triggers, SSIS Packages, SSRS Reports, and other SQL database objects that assist in the implementation of business logic and data flows through Global’s data and application infrastructure.
Monitor and troubleshoot SQL jobs and front-end applications
Analyze existing systems and processes to determine and document business requirements. Manage and track the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
Create new reports and analyze data at the request of business users. Develop reports and data visualizations using BI tools.
Provide end-user support, release/upgrade management, testing, and user training.
Provide support and maintenance of existing SQL based systems and processes, including credit card reconciliation, third party interfaces, and BI and DW applications.
Use leading data discovery tool, scan information assets on-premise and in the cloud for sensitive data (i.e. PII, PCI). Analyze and optimize scanning processes, create custom expressions, and filter and remediate as needed.
Conduct job duties and responsibilities in compliance with all of Global’s standards and methodologies.
4+ years working with systems delivery lifecycles (SDLC) and methods.
Strong understanding of relational database structures, theories, principles, and practices.
Strong knowledge of and up to date experience with SQL, MS SQLServer, SSRS, and SSIS.
Knowledge of data warehousing (DW) and ETL.
Experience developing solutions with one of the market-leading BI tools or platforms preferred.
Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws, e.g. PCI and PHI preferred.
Required: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited College or University
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are an essential requirement.

Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
