DAVAO TUNA GRILL FASTFOOD CORPORATION (DTGFC) is a well-established food retail company that has been in operation in major malls since 1999.
Is currently looking for:
Job Summary
- Manages the preparation and production of all food items to be served based on the store's menu and recipes and ensures that all items are available at all times
- Maintains the high quality of food served in his/her branch
- Maintains the cleanliness of the kitchen to eradicate pests and cockroaches
- Makes sure that all cooked food is prepared in adherence to the strictest rules of food safety and hygiene
1. Supervises the work of the assistant cook, kitchen helper and dish washing/cleaning crew
2. Trains the assistant supervisor, kitchen helper in food preparation and cooking
3. Trains the dish washing/cleaning crew on how to maintain the store's cleanliness at all times (regular cleaning of grease trap, freezer and chiller, etc.)
1. Ensures all cooking equipment are in good working condition: stoves and burners, grillers, exhaust machines
2. Ensures that cooking utensils and tools are complete and in good working condition
3. Ensures that cooking equipment and utensils are used properly to prevent damage and to be more efficient in food preparation
4. Maintains the cleanliness of the kitchen at all times and ensures the kitchen is free of pests and insects
5. Reports damages or repairs needed to be done on equipment as well as exhaust, plumbing, gas and electrical operations of the store
6. Must be able to do minor repairs of broken tiles, burners (cleaning to ensure blue flame), minor painting or tapal works to prevent leaks, changing of fan belts, and similar minor repairs
1. Checks stocks levels of ingredients to make sure that all menu items are available
2. Coordinates with the store supervisor on the ordering of items from the commissary or supplier
3. Makes sure that the items received from the supplier or commissary are of good quality; immediately reports poor quality or substandard quality of supplies to the store supervisor
4. Maintains the daily, weekly, and monthly inventory of good for accuracy and counter-checking
5. Makes sure that there is no spoilage or wastage of food items or ingredients
6. Observes FIFO and compliance to food safety standards in storing food items whether raw or cooked
Job Type / Category:
- This is for direct position
- Willing to be assigned in Ermita, Taguig, Robinsons Galleria, Shangrila (Mandaluyong) branches
- Willing to be assigned as Roving Cook for the Manila and Mandaluyong branches
Required Education, Skills, and Qualifications:
- College level or at least high school graduate
- With at least 3 years work experience as a cook in a food establishment
- Has supervisory skills and can train subordinates
- Knowledgeable in Food Safety and Sanitation
