HR GENERALIST
 
Department: Admin/HR Department
 
Reporting to: Human Resource Supervisor
 
Purpose of the position:
 
The Human Resource Generalist manages the day to day operations of the Human Resource Office. The HR Generalist manages the administration of the human resources policies, procedures and programs.
 
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Primary responsibilities include interpreting policies, ensuring compliance with all polices, company processes, and state/federal employment laws.  Partnering with management on employee/labour relations and conducting internal investigations as assigned by HR management.
  • Maintains employment resumes, application forms, and applicant flow logs in line with company policy. Places job orders with state job service and online job boards. Sorts responses and turns over to appropriate manager.
  • Administers recruitment process to include screening resumes/applications, interviewing and applicant skill testing, completing pre-employment testing as applicable==>Drug & Alcohol testing, background & reference check.
  • Partners with all levels of management and employees to communicate various HR objectives and procedures in compliance with company policy and employment law
  • Conducts internal investigations as assigned by management needs or HR Manager
  • Proactively provides consultation and coaching on employee/labor relations issues by assisting managers with the implementation of progressive discipline and performance management plans
  • Drafts communications, investigative reports and works effectively in conjunction with department management, and legal counsel when directed to do so by HR management
  • Supports department and company-wide special projects and additional responsibilities as they present  themselves whether annual or spontaneous
  • Organizational and space planning

  • Compensation and benefits, administration.
  • Performs other tasks assigned by immediate superior from time to time.
Qualifications:
  • Preferably with 1 year experience in Recruitment and Selection
  • A graduate of BS – Psychology or BSBA-Human Resource Development Management
  • Excellent problem solving and time management skills
  • High attention to detail and results
  • Self motivated and highly organized
  • Able to give and follow directions
  • Results oriented while maintaining attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Creativity, innovation and the ability to solve problems and generate viable solutions.
  • Must be approachable and effective with ability to influence change across all levels of the organization
  • Must have good time management skills and be able prioritize duties
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality, but also sensitive situations where information must be shared on a an “need to know” basis
  • Good knowledge of related government and labor law in the Philippines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills-to deal with different types of employees.
  • Good organisational skills and ability to work to, and sometime implement own processes
